The Meijer State Games of Michigan will be hosting the 2026 Marquette Winter Games February 6, 7, & 8, 2026!
This is a weekend packed full of winter sport tournaments that offer Olympic-style events for individuals to participate and spectate. Visit the Meijer Winter Games website for further information regarding the individual events and how to register.
Be sure to stop at the Heikki Lunta Winter Festival and Meijer Winter Games Head Quarters on Iron Street in Downtown Negaunee! The Heikki Lunta Winter Festival is inspired by the Heikki Lunta snow god folklore that originated in the Upper Peninsula. The festival is a celebration of winter, showcasing the amazing opportunities during the snowy season.
Make memories that last longer than the snow by signing up to compete in your favorite sport at the Winter Games, try the Luge like a Winter Olympian, join the ice fishing tournament, take a stroll on snowshoes through historic lantern lit mine ruins, ski cross country through the woods with a warm thermos of hot chocolate, grease up your saucer like Clark Griswold for sledding, or get toasty by the bon fires along the social district.
There are multiple locations - stay tuned for the full schedule.
