Join us as the Outdoor Skills Academy pro-staff walks through the ins and outs of starting a trap line. Topics covered will include how to set dirt and water sets, lures and scouting.
All students will leave with the firsthand experience that will increase their chances for the upcoming trapping season.
The class will start at 10 a.m. and will run four to five hours. We will start the day in the (outdoor) classroom and then move to the hiking trails around the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center. The trail is ADA accessible and easy to walk. Once outside, we will demonstrate how to set your trap line, how to find animal signs and more.
The cost for this class is $25, which includes lunch, a trapping book and a trap.
The class will be held outdoors, and participation is limited to 20 students.
