Contact
Sailors preparing for Mackinac-class offshore racing and extended Great Lakes events aboard large performance yachts. Many participants are transitioning from dinghy sailing, keelboat club racing, or smaller offshore platforms into 70-foot race programs where the scale of the vessel, complexity of systems, and expectations of crew discipline increase dramatically. Participants may include junior sailors entering larger offshore programs, experienced racers moving into distance racing campaigns, and boat owners seeking to establish consistent onboard standards for their crews.
Primary Objective
Prepare sailors to function safely, confidently, and professionally aboard large offshore racing yachts through structured preparation, crew discipline training, and vessel systems awareness. The objective is not simply learning offshore theory. The objective is understanding how to operate effectively once the race has started, the watches begin rotating, and the vessel becomes a working offshore environment for multiple days.
