Know Before You Go
The new-in-2026 Acrisure Amphitheater is a 12,000+-seat outdoor concert venue on the banks of the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. Guests can choose from fixed bowl seating or lawn seating, with separated seating boxes and a party deck also available as a premium option for some shows.
Entrances
There are two entrances into the venue: Riverside and Market Ave. Doors will typically open 90 minutes prior to the event time noted on your ticket (all door times are subject to change). For most shows, the Riverside Entrance will open 10-15 minutes prior to the Market Ave Entrance. Guests with lawn chairs must enter through the Riverside Entrance and should anticipate longer entry times. Queue lines and areas leading up to the points of entry will be marked and monitored for ease of entry. There is a no re-entry policy for events at Acrisure Amphitheater.
Security
All guests entering the Amphitheater for an event will be subject to metal-detector screening and visual inspection conducted by Acrisure Amphitheater security personnel.
Prohibited Items
Items that cannot be taken into the Amphitheater include (but are not limited to):
- Bags, backpacks, purses (small clutches no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" x 2" and bags for medical & parenting needs will be permitted)
- Cameras (flash/professional photography is prohibited; some events will prohibit the use of all cameras)
- Outside food & beverage
- E-cigarettes, vape pens (smoking is prohibited)
- Recording devices
- Selfie sticks, tripods/monopods
- Umbrellas, seat cushions, strollers
- Alcohol, illegal drugs, cans or bottles
- Animals or pets (with the exception of service animals)
- Laser pointers, noise-making devices, fireworks, flashlights, skateboards, rollerblades, beach balls
- Weapons and anything else that could pose a safety hazard or restrict the enjoyment of another guest
Guests can return prohibited items to their vehicle, or the item will be confiscated or disposed of properly.
What You Can Bring In
- Collapsible or beach chairs that do not exceed 12" from the ground to the bottom of the seat when unfolded (select events may not permit lawn chairs check event pages)
- Small blankets will generally be allowed for comfort on the lawn (security can deny blankets that are too large or have inappropriate content/language)
- Factory-sealed bottled water 20 oz or under one per person (two water fountains & refillable water stations are available within the venue)
- Trained service animals for guests with disabilities and/or special needs
Lawn Seating Restrictions
Lawn chairs will not be allowed to be brought into the venue. Lawn chairs will not be available for rent/purchase.
Cashless
Acrisure Amphitheater is cashless venue. Guests must use credit/debit cards or mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) at the box office and concession stands. You will need a valid government-issued photo ID to pay with a credit or debit card.
Food & Beverage
Multiple cashless concession stands throughout the Amphitheater offer a variety of food and drink.
Getting There
The Acrisure Amphitheater is located in downtown Grand Rapids, which is easily accessible from both the I-196 and US-131 expressways. Convenient downtown exits include Ottawa Avenue (from I-196) and Pearl Street (from US-131).
Note that the Market Avenue exit from southbound U.S. 131 will be closed for events, as will Market Avenue in front of the Amphitheater between Cherry and Bartlett streets.
Parking
A 340-space ramp connected to the Amphitheater is designated primarily for VIPs and first-come, first-served accessible parking. However, there are more than 8,800 parking spots within a half mile of the Amphitheater, and another 10,000 spaces within one mile. The nearest lots are 2-3 blocks away. You can use ParkMobile to reserve parking spots in off-street facilities up to three months ahead of an event. Metered parking is also available on the streets surrounding the venue.
Dont want to walk from your parking lot? The free DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle) bus route will expand to include the Amphitheater on event days, starting two hours before showtime.
Want to leave your car at home? Take The Rapid from outlying areas to Rapid Central Station in downtown GR. Rapid Central Station is a five-minute walk from the Amphitheater. Rapid buses will run two hours later than usual on event nights, with the last buses departing at 11:20 p.m.
Prefer to rideshare? Meters on the Fulton Street bridge about a 10-minute walk from the Amphitheater will be hooded and designated for rideshare and taxi drop off and pick up locations.

Plan Your Stay
The Amphitheater is within a short walk/free DASH bus ride of 300+ downtown restaurants, shops, cultural attractions and nightlife venues. Arrive early for your event to get a closer parking spot and enjoy a leisurely meal, browse stores, visit a museum and/or stroll the scenic riverfront before the show. Stay after your event and treat yourself to late-night bites and drinks while avoiding the initial rush of traffic leaving downtown.
