Start your snow dance because Heikki Lunta is set to return to Negaunee on February 6, 7, & 8, 2026! This year the Negaunee Downtown Development Authority is partnering with the Meijer Winter Games for even more fun!
The Heikki Lunta Winter Festival is inspired by the Heikki Lunta snow god folklore that originated in the Upper Peninsula. The festival is a celebration of winter, showcasing the amazing opportunities during the snowy season in Marquette County. Make memories that last longer than the snow by signing up to compete in your favorite sport, try the Luge like a Winter Olympian, join the ice fishing tournament, take a stroll on snowshoes through historic lantern lit mine ruins, ski cross country through the woods with a warm thermos of hot chocolate, grease up your saucer like Clark Griswold for sledding, or get toasty by the bon fires along the social district.
Choose your own adventure, February 6, 7, & 8, 2026 in Marquette County!
