Huron River Day 2026 — New Location. New Format. Same Great Day!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16, noon–4 p.m. at the new home: Riverside Park. There are four parking areas within .15 miles of Riverside Park. University of Michigan parking structure M99, University of Michigan parking Structure M93, University of Michigan parking lot M50 and University of Michigan parking lot M40. There is also overflow parking available at all three Fuller Park lots within .46 miles of Riverside Park. This free, family-friendly celebration—sponsored by DTE Foundation—is bringing a fresh format this year:
Start early (8 a.m.–noon)
Become a Huron Hero with morning workshops, guided walks, a dam to dam bike ride, cleanups and more—then earn a prize for the festival.
Celebrate all afternoon (noon–4 p.m.)
Games, food vendors, eco exhibitors and live animals from Leslie Science & Nature Center. The musical and performance line up includes:
Noon - Music by Hullaballoo Band
1 p.m. - Belly dance performance
2 p.m. - Music by Margo Solomon teen band from Neutral Zone
3 p.m. - Variety act performance
