Built in 1871, historic Andrews Schoolhouse was originally located at 25 Mile and Mound Road. The township decided to move the schoolhouse to its current location on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds in 1976 as a bicentennial project. With help from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, it was successfully relocated and restored. Today, Andrews Schoolhouse serves as the home of the Shelby Township Historical Committee.
