Body
Tucked between Detroit's only synagogue and a usually empty parking structure is Cafe D'Mongo's Speakeasy. It's only opened Friday and Saturday night but that's what lends to it's beauty. Because on those nights the place is teeming with young and old, hipster and non-hipster alike. D'Mongo's is open to everyone and it's a great place for a drink at the bar or in one of the old, dusty, cushiony chairs. Through the D'Mongo's sells booze, and, in a way, is a bar, the decor lends more toward a brightly lit cafe. It's also a place to pick up some soul food and on Saturdays free sloppy joes when you order a drink.
