Located in Menominee County, the Cedar River Pathway is comprised of four loops ranging in length from 2 to 9 miles. The trail winds along the banks of the Cedar River, known for its historic role in the logging boom of the mid-1800s. The trail is open to mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing. The trailhead is within the Cedar River North Equestrian State Forest Campground and Trail Camp, 13 miles northwest of Cedar River via Cedar River Road, Westman Dam Road and Schuster Lane.
The trail is maintained with the help of Bay Area Mounted Search and Rescue.
Backpacking (dispersed camping) is allowed along the pathway, as long as you are one mile away from Cedar River North Equestrian State Forest Campground and Trail Camp. View a map of state forests and campgrounds.
