Fayette State Park is located in Garden, Michigan on the Big Bay de Noc. Fayette Historic State Park is known for its unmatched scenery of the Lake Michigan harbor, white cliffs and verdant forests. The museum village comes from what was once a bustling industrial community that manufactured charcoal pig iron from 1867 to 1891. While the park provides many historical experiences from museum exhibits to walking tours, visitors can also walk along the foot trail that the park provides. The 5-mile trail allows for cross country skiing and hiking as it stretches along Slag Beach and Snail Shell Harbor. The trailhead can be found at the park’s campground.
