The Lightwell Lavender Farm has announced its soft launch, which includes a series of activities to entice locals and lavender enthusiasts to visit the farm. The farm will open for U-pick lavender and retail sales on Saturdays and Sundays in June and July, where visitors can experience the pleasure of harvesting their lavender or purchasing lavender-based products in the retail shop.
The farm also has an heirloom lavender test plot, which will be home to seven varieties of lavender, allowing visitors to witness the diverse range of colors and aromas of the plant. Visitors can also enjoy the tea and herb garden, where they can sip on a cup of lavender tea while relaxing in the picturesque surroundings.
Moreover, the Lightwell Lavender Farm features a bespoke retail shop that sells lavender-focused retail goods, such as handmade soap, candles, and other garden and farm-grown items. Visitors can purchase plants from the farm as well, to take a piece of the lavender farm home with them.
In addition to these activities, visitors can also encounter several experiential activities on a working lavender farm. For example, they can create lavender wreaths and other crafts, or they can take a guided tour to learn about the history of the farm and the uses of lavender. Visitors can also watch the farm's distillation process to make essential oils, and learn about the benefits of lavender.
