North Point Nature Preserve
27 acres. Frontage: 2,800 feet on Lake Michigan. Forests in several stages of succession, shoreline and dunes. Three threatened plant species (Pitcher's Thistle, Lake Huron Tansy, Pumpell's Bromegrass). A network of trails offers access to the beach and wooded back dunes. Located adjacent to the Mt. McSauba recreation area at the northeast end of Charlevoix. Parking areas are on McSauba Road.
