The Pine Forest Pathway is located near Baldwin, Michigan and offers a 0.9-mile loop trail. The trail is made up of two interconnected loops, with a smaller loop of 0.3 miles, and a bigger loop of 0.9 miles. This mostly flat hike follows the curves of the Baldwin River and features a majestic forest setting suitable for all skill levels. The trail is well marked, and a map is available for reference at all trail intersections.
This pathway begins and ends within Bray Creek State Forest Campground. The trailhead is located 1.5 miles northeast of Baldwin via M-37, Merriville Road and 40th Street. Parking is available for 2-3 cars at the day use area on the east side of the campground. The trailhead is located on the west side of the campground. The DNR does not allow camping along this pathway, but does allow access for hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing.
