Perhaps you might be interested to hear about the "Refrigeration Capital of the World" that started in Tecumseh by Charles Sage and Kenneth Herrick under the name of Tecumseh Products. These men, in their lifetime and beyond, have encouraged the community to grow with housing complexes, arts and humanities, fire and police protection, and schools and educational pursuits.
The military plays a big part in Tecumseh history and with varying displays of the wars that impacted residents of this community. Historian Robert Elliott showcases several of these individuals in the book Hometown Heroes available in the gift shop with many more books on the town. Of course, with the name "Tecumseh" there is a Native American display of items found in the area and about the Shawnee native whom the town was named after.
