The UP Health System Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon includes three distances, with separate races and starts for classic and freestyle: 50k, 25k, and 10k. The Great Bear Chase also includes a 50km skiathlon (25km classic and 25km freestyle) and a 20km skiathlon (10km classic and 10km freestyle)

The 48th annual Poor Artists Sale will be held Saturday, December 14th at the CLK Gymnasium in Calumet from 11am to 4pm and is hosted by the Copper Country Community Arts Council as a benefit for the Community Arts Center in Hancock.
