Celebrate Independence Day in Muskegon with a 4th of July fireworks experience aboard the USS LST-393 Museum Ship, a historic World War II Landing Ship Tank on the Muskegon Lake waterfront. Guests can view fireworks over Muskegon Lake from the deck of this nationally significant vessel, offering a unique way to experience one of West Michigan’s signature summer traditions.
Built in 1942, the USS LST-393 is one of only two remaining Landing Ship Tanks still in its original configuration out of 1,051 constructed during World War II. As a surviving vessel from the D-Day era, it serves as a floating museum preserving U.S. naval history along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
This family-friendly Independence Day event takes place Friday, July 4, with fireworks at dusk.
