Crystal Falls, Michigan is home to the world's largest, contiguous organism-- a giant, subterranean mushroom network. Covering over 37 acres, the massive fungus has edible mushrooms that can be harvested in fall. Naturally, we have a festival to celebrate such an oddity. For three days, you can enjoy the Fungus Fest Parade, the Toadstool Tournament (softball), a Strongman Competition, a giant pizza, a mushroom cook off, and so much more. The whole family can enjoy the Men's Beardy Pageant held in the Crystal Theatre. The tongue-in-cheek men's beauty pageant has fun categories such as "Bushiest Beard", "Yooperiest Yooper", and so much more. Live music, food, and beer abounds and you'll be sure to enjoy the city-wide rummage sales and Vendor Village where home-based businesses set up booths in an outdoor venue for you to shop. Enjoy the custom-made Mushroom-Swiss Brats made special by Angeli Foods on the grill, or a classic cheeseburger. If you're a competitive eater, the Bacon, Pie, and Pasty eating contests will give you a run for your money! There's lots to enjoy during this city-wide, weekend long celebration!
