The Michigan PGA is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the Michigan Women’s Open. This June will mark 23 years the premier event has been held on the Mountain Ridge course at Crystal Mountain. The 3-round tournament begins Monday, June 23 and wraps up with the championship round and award ceremony on Wednesday, June 25. This event is free for spectators!
The 54-hole, stroke play event is open to past, present and aspiring professional female golfers. The starting field will consist of a maximum of 144 contestants, competing for a $40,000 purse. If there are more than 78 players teeing off in round one, the field will be cut to low 70 and ties after 36 holes. There will be no cut if there are 78 players or less in round one.
Returning this year is the Senior Division for women ages 50 and over, regardless of residency. It will be played congruent with the rest of the Open, June 23-25. The yardage for the Senior Division will play from approximately 5700 yards.
