This Place Matters

A program started by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to spotlight the historic sites that played a role in peoples lives has inspired Oakland County’s Planning Department to spotlight our own special places. From the nationally significant to the personally priceless, these are locations and structures in Oakland County that make us unique and hold special meaning. Hear stories rarely told and become an armchair traveler to places in Oakland County you might never have known existed.
