The 156th Sand Lake 4th of July Celebration in Sand Lake, Michigan, features a carnival midway, demolition derbies, rodeos, live music, and spectacular fireworks. Located about 35 miles north of Lansing, the festival runs across City Park (51 W Lake Street) and 9th Street.
Founded in the late 1800s, Sand Lake's Independence Day celebration has grown into one of West Michigan's signature small-town festivals. Its combination of a carnival, rodeo, demolition derby, parade, and fireworks attracts visitors from throughout the region each year.
