Sunday, October 28th at 3 p.m. Accordionist Julien Labro explores the beauty and lyricism of the French chansons as he revisits the sound of his childhood home Rodez in the south of France by modernizing the classic songs of Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Michel Legrand, Charles Aznavour and others in “Julien Labro and the Chanson Experiment.”

Sunday, February 24th at 3 p.m. the renowned jazz musician and multi-genre drummer Gayle McKinney of Detroit brings her family’s legacy of music education to Grand Rapids behind the release of her new album “McKin-Folk” . Aretha Franklin’s drummer since 2016, and leader of the Grammy nominated all female jazz group Straight Ahead. She will be accompanied by the talented Jazz Saxophonist, Dave McMurray.

Sunday, March 31st at 3 p.m. Chicago saxophonist and bass clarinetist Geof Bradfield returns to The Underground Series with his “Yes and…music for nine improvisers” featuring a roll call of top Chicago and New York jazz musicians in a new multi-movement work.

Sunday, April 28th at 3 p.m. The Alex Harding Organ Trio with special guest J.D. Allen brings the burley baritone saxophone of Alex Harding together with the exploratory authority of now New York tenor saxophonist J.D. Allen, accompanied by Jim Alfredson on organ and Djallo Djakate on drums.
