Twin Lakes State Park is located in Michigan’s Copper Country. A 175-acre modern campground is located on the southwest shore of Lake Roland with direct access to a number of trails, including the Bill Nicholls Trail. Fishing, boating and swimming are popular activities in the park. The park is one of a few ORV-friendly locations offering not only a large network of ORV trails in the vicinity, but ORV operation to and from the park.
The park makes a good base camp for many area attractions, including Fort Wilkins State Historic Park, the copper mines, the Keweenaw National Historic Park in Calumet and the Bill Nicholls Snowmobile Trail that traverses the park northwest of and parallel with M-26.
