Located in the heart of downtown Marquette, the Vierling is a historic, full service restaurant and brewpub overlooking Marquette's beautiful lower harbor. Family owned and operated for 30 years, specializing in Fresh Lake Superior Whitefish. Menu also includes BBQ Ribs, Pasta, Panini's and Artesian Pizza's. A full bar, extensive wine list and ten hand crafted beers on tap are served from an ornate, antique oak bar. Restaurant is appointed with fine antique artwork including original stained glass, oil paintings, prints and maps. Winner of a "Best of the Lake" award two years in a row.

Stopped in for a beer.
I stopped in for a beer while walking about the town. The selection of beers wasn't exactly to my taste, but I ordered the blueberry wheat and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a very busy place. It has a great menu. The white fish is super. Great beer menu too.

Poor service. Awful salad.
I went to the Vierling for lunch expecting a reliable meal in one of Marquette’s better-known spots.
