Dimondale Canoe and Kayak has been established since 2019. Located on the Grand River in Dimondale, MI, just outside of the downtown Lansing area. We are open from Wednesday through Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m with last chance to rent tubes at 4:00 p.m and last chances to rent kayaks/canoes at 5:00 p.m. We do not charge by the hour and we ask that all of our boats are back to us by 7:00 p.m.
We do not take reservations and are on a first come first serve basis!
The first trip option is to launch from Danford Island Park. We transport you to the launch site and you will end at our docks, right where you parked. This trip is around 2 1/2 miles and depending on the current and if you are paddling, can take around 1 1/2 hours. Again, as we do not charge by the hour, you are more than welcome to take your time!
Our second trip option is launching from our own docks; we call this the paddle upstream trip. You will launch from our docks, paddle up as far as you would like, and when you are ready, turn around and let the current take you back to us. Get $5 off each boat you rent by doing this trip option!
On Saturday and Sunday mornings only, at 9:00 a.m, we offer our McNamara trip by reservation only! This trip length is between 4-6 hours but depends on the current and if you are paddling.
