Fitzgerald Park is a spectacular 78-acre day-use facility best known as the home of the Ledges - ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings lining the shores of the Grand River. This year-round park provides three miles of nature and hiking trails, picnicking, a softball diamond, a volleyball court, a basketball court, two horseshoe pits, a playground, a disc golf course, a nature center, two miles of cross-country ski trails, a sledding hill, and canoe/kayak access to the Grand River.
No visit to the park is complete without viewing the famous sandstone ledges, ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings that line the banks of the Grand River.
Naturalist Services are available with programs relating to ecology, wildlife, and natural history.
