You will not want tp miss the Kalamazoo Scottish Festival! While there you will experience the exciting highland game competition where cabers are tossed, weights are thrown and men and women of all ages compete in their age categories. You will enjoy a variety of Scottish music, dancing, food and related Scottish merchandise.
Historical demonstrations of various kinds may draw you in or you can learn about the many clans in clan row. Explore and perhaps discover your own Scottish roots!
The Kalamazoo Scottish Festival excels as an event for all ages. The children's games get children actively involved in their own highland games, crafts and wheelbarrow races. All ages love the draft horses, highland coos and deerhounds. Unique to the festival is our beloved Nessie, who gives free rides around the park. The day starts with a parade and opening ceremonies and is filled with so many wonderful things you will want to stay all day.
It's hard to believe that this amazing day of fun and learning is free to the public. All are welcomed!
