Betsie River Canoes and Campground offers affordable camping and canoe, kayak, or tube trips down the adventurous Betsie River. Your family can explore our 53 acres by riding your quad or dirt bike in our sand pit area, go fishing, hike or bike our trails, play a volleyball or horseshoe tournament, and the children can play on the playground or in the sand boxes. During these exciting activities, you won't be able to resist the smell of a BBQ picnic lunch, so you'll want to fire-up the grill for a tasty treat. To relax in the evening, bring the kids for ice cream and a at the Camp Store.
The Betsie River is a designated Scenic and Wildlife Area in Northern Michigan, which provides an adventurous outdoor setting, although you must keep alert for branches and logs. You may see a variety of wildlife: deer, bald eagle, blue herring, fish, turtles, ducks, porcupine, muskrat, beaver, geese, dragonflies, butterflies, and much more. The world renown trout stream provides spawning beds for Steelhead in the spring and Salmon swim upstream abundantly in the fall.
