The Blue Heron, charters the waters of the St. Mary's River, Lake Superior and Lake Huron. Departure ports include Sault Ste. Marie, Sugar Island, Detour and other eastern upper peninsula location upon request. Captain Harold Bailey has over 45 years experience in these waters for salmon (includes pinks, Atlantics, Coho, and Kings), perch, walleye, northern pike, whitefish, Herring and others. Come fish the St. Mary's River and her 42 miles of beauty from the Soo Locks down around the many islands along the way including Sugar, Neebish and Drummond Island. The waters of the St. Mary's River are protected from the windy weather because of the islands. Blue Heron Charters was featured in the October 2006 Great Lakes Fishing and Hunting News as well as on ESPN Outdoor website and Michigan Out of Doors. Harold Bailey is United States Coast Guard licensed for charters and for towing and also a member of the Michigan Charter Boat Association. The Blue Heron is a 22' Crestliner boat and can take up to 4 adults per charter. All ages welcome including the kids, no experience necessary, great family fun for your vacation!
