Managed by the Dearborn Historical Museum since 1950, the Commandant's Quarters is Dearborn’s oldest building on its original location. The structure was originally used from 1833-1876 as the military headquarters of the Detroit Arsenal army base in Dearborn. Today, visitors can tour the building furnished in 19th century decor to learn about life during the period, as well as view exhibits about Dearborn’s military history.

Great visit
This place has lots to see and do. Definitely a wonderful family experience. We will be back again! There are different events available so planning which one you might enjoy is a good idea.

Interesting historical museum
I have attended many of this museum's functions. Wonderful experience. I recommend it for families. Great location on Michigan Avenue on the west side of Dearborn.
