The Upper Peninsula village of Naubinway is located at the most northern point of Lake Michigan, about 45 minutes west of the Mackinac Bridge. This geographical claim to Great Lakes fame is recognized with a new, super-sized map of Michigan located at the Garfield Township Marina.
The marina and marker are just a short detour from the Top of the Lake US-2 Scenic Byway, and a convenient stop for paddlers and boaters. Travelers along US-2, bicyclists and hikers following the Iron Belle Trail, and snowmobilers are welcome to stop for a photo at this scenic spot.
This marker was made possible by funds from Top of the Lake Communities Association, Graymont Community & Economic Development Fund, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, and donations by individuals and businesses.
