Body
The Organization Area Trail located inside Port Crescent State Park is a 2.5-mile hiking and cross-country ski path. The trail includes three scenic overlooks that provide views of the Saginaw Bay, while parts of the trail also run parallel to the Old Pinnebog River Channel. The best way to access this route is via the Port Crescent Campground which is located on the east end of the park. The trail is separated by a cutoff spur that will shorten your hike to either a 1.3-mile or 1.1-mile walk instead of the full 2.5 loop. The trail terrain is primarily made up of sand dunes, creating a few climbs here and there, but the climbing areas can easily be climbed by young children.
