Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high wooded dunes, open dunes and a sandy beach. A 0.7 mile hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes and scenic views. A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail and pit toilets are located near the beach. Motor vehicle parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Rosy Mound is open year round. Dogs are not allowed at Rosy Mound any time of year.

Walk through the forest to the beach
This was a lovely park . make sure you pay the parking fee. we thought we were just going to be there 10 minutes and didn't pay it and ended up with a $40 ticket.

Great hike
What a great place with breathtaking views, and wonderful walking path. There are some steps, but nothing too bad. There are also some really tall amazing trees.
