Discover Port Austin

The Port Austin area is a photographer’s paradise with migrating birds, wildlife, picturesque farms, and winter ice formations on Lake Huron. Several public access points are available for unequaled bass fishing, and many charter boats can assist with catching salmon and lake trout.

Port Crescent State Park is home to a designated dark sky preserve including a birds of prey observation deck. Climb the sandy dunes and sunbathe while overlooking Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay.

The Port Austin break wall is the longest walkable break wall or pier in the Thumbcoast. It is 2,460 feet long or about a 1/2 mile!
