Love the outdoors and want a unique view of the beautiful Grand River? Come row with us! The Grand Rapids Rowing Association has posted our spring and summer rowing classes at grrowing.org. Start your spring with a FREE Learn To Row Day on Saturday, May 5, from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Our summer Community LTR Days are June 2 and August 4 and both are free. Participants need no prior rowing experience. Come down to the boathouse at 291 North Park NE (use the Greenleaf Landscaping entrance) and get on the river. You will learn about our boathouse, the water safety rules, get a chance to practice your form on an indoor rowing machine, then get out on the water. From start to finish, it takes about an hour and you are guaranteed to love the sport! No registration is necessary for our Community LTR Days. To register for spring or summer Learn To Row class, go to grrowing.org and click on Adult Classes. All participants in the Free LTR Day will receive a promotional code for 10% off their first class. For all rowing, proper attire is required. Be sure to wear socks, sturdy shoes and form-fitting workout clothes. Loose clothing could get caught in the slides. Rowing is a water sport, so please understand that you could get wet.
