Salute to Veterans & Boat Parade

On Saturday, August 15, Riverfront Park will host family activities and veteran resources, including hands-on programs with Michigan DNR Outdoor Educators. Active-duty military members, National Guard and Reserve members, veterans, and Blue and Gold Star Mothers can also receive free admission for themselves and one guest at the Michigan Maritime Museum. At 11:45 a.m., the public is encouraged to make their way to South Haven’s piers ahead of noon for the return of the Welcome Back Parade of Boats. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the waterfront and welcome participating veterans home as vessels enter the harbor beneath a patriotic flyover.
