Twin Lakes State Park - S.P.O.R.T. Ride

Twin Lakes State Park
6204 E. Poyhonen Road,
Toivola, MI 49965

Come enjoy local trails on your side-by-side or ATV. The ride will leave from Twin Lakes State Park. The ORV ride will be guided by the local MI-TRALE ORV organization and Twin Lakes State Park staff. Riders meet at Twin Lakes State Park's enclosed shelter for a pre-ride meeting and safety instructions. Riders will then ride for the next four to eight hours on the trails to be used for this year's ride. Each ride varies from year to year with changing trail conditions. Rides on many years have gone on trails opened by the U.S. Forest Service just for that year's use only, so some rides are quite special.

The event is open to anyone with an approved ORV or side-by-side. Motorcycles/Dirt Bikes will not be allowed due to trail restrictions in some areas. All drivers must have completed an ATV operator's training if under 16 years of age. Riders must have an ATV in good working order as the group travels up to 95 miles. Drivers should carry extra fuel if needed, dust masks if conditions are dusty, water or beverages for the ride and basic tools in case of break downs. Staff has the right to cancel the ride if conditions are unsafe to start or continue the ride, or weather or trail conditions are a concern.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
