Located at 3922 East Ashman, along the eastern edge of Midland. Stratford Woods Park is situated around Kiwassee Lake, a small manmade lake, which provides an unsupervised sandy beach for swimming. Restrooms are available and open during summer park hours. Stratford Woods Park has four beach volleyball courts where leagues play during the summer months. Located on the west side of Kiwassee Lake is an undeveloped natural area with a small number of trails and a small playground area. The park offers one large picnic shelter that can be rented. The shelter seats approximately 66 people (offers 8 tables; five 8' and three 6'), a 600' paved path to the restrooms, 2 duplex plugs, ceiling lighting and one jumbo grill. Stratford Wood Park has a large play structure located on the beach, a large basketball court and the Great Lakes Bay BMX bike track. The new Eagle Ridge Nature Area is adjacent to Stratford Woods and can be accessed from the main parking lot as well as an accessible lot near the entrance on Stratford Woods Dr.
