Applecore showcases Michigan-made gifts, home goods, and accessories that celebrate the art and craft of the Great Lakes State.

Housed in a 125-year-old farmhouse on the M-134 Pure Michigan Byway, the shop opened midsummer 2017 and is the retail home of Les Cheneaux-made Cedar Shore Soaps, which are made on site. We proudly stock hundreds of Michigan-made products from local and Michigan makers. As always, Cedar Shore Soaps, spa salts, and bug spray are handmade here in Les Cheneaux, with all natural, skin-loving ingredients.

Other Applecore offerings include Michigan maple syrup and cherry products, locally roasted coffee: beans and ground, handmade knitted apparel and accessories, fiber art, woven rugs and placemats, original illustrations, art prints, ceramics, natural bath and body care products, Michigan mittens, jams, meat and bbq seasonings, mustard, baking mixes, wood furnishings, stuffed toys, Michi-Gummies and other candies, pet treats, t-shirts and hoodies, baby gifts, books, and a limited supply of curated vintage items. 

The shop's pastoral setting among apple trees is conveniently located on the highway, but secluded enough for a pleasant sit on the covered porch.

The shop is open seasonally, May through December. If you can't catch us during open hours, give us a call at 906.484.7080 to check hours or to make an appointment outside of regular hours. Open seven days a week in July and August.
