Tashmoo Distilling Company is a modern craft distillery and cocktail destination located in the heart of downtown New Baltimore, Michigan. Founded in 2022 by Chris and Ellen Ross alongside business partner Tom Maliskey, the company was built on a shared vision of creating high-quality, small-batch spirits paired with a memorable guest experience.
The distillery officially opened its doors in December 2023, quickly establishing itself as a local hotspot for handcrafted cocktails and artisanal spirits. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of offerings, including vodka, gin, rum, bourbon, and tequila, each crafted or curated to highlight distinct flavors and smooth finishes.
One of the most unique aspects of Tashmoo Distilling Company is its atmosphere. The tasting room is styled as a 1920s speakeasy, inspired by the historic passenger steamer “Tashmoo,” which once traveled the Great Lakes. This theme creates a cozy, vintage ambiance where guests can step back in time while enjoying modern mixology.
In addition to its indoor space, the distillery features a welcoming outdoor dog friendly patio complete with seating, fire pits, and seasonal igloos, making it a year-round gathering place!
