Nature's Kennel Sled Dog Adventures--Premier Winter Sled Dog Adventures. DRIVE YOUR OWN DOG TEAM! Nature's Kennel, owned by Tasha Stielstra, is located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula approximately 90 minutes northwest of the Mackinac Bridge. Nature's Kennel offers a variety of "drive-your-own-dog team" adventures. All trips are fully guided and designed for beginners. The 10-mile trips run daily and offer guests the opportunity to either drive their own team or to take a ride in the sled. Dog sledding and lodging packages are available with the Lake Effect Inn in Curtis. No experience is necessary for dog sledding, trips are suitable for all ages and abilities.
