This lovely old cabin in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula is actually a two story home. The cabin contains everything you will need for your relaxing vacation. You enter into the cabin through a large screened in sun porch where many guests like to sit and read, work puzzles or often watch the deer in the yard in the evenings. Step into the living room and you find a queen size sofa bed, a couple of easy chairs, TV, VCR and a small wood burning stove for additional heat (there is also a gas wall furnace). Into the kitchen and you have a full sized electric range, refrigerator, double sinks, microwave and all the pots and pans you'll need if you want to cook, plus dishes and flatware for ten. Kitchen and dinning are one large room and there is a table that easily sets six. Off the Kitchen is a large room with a washer and dryer in it and then the downstairs bath which is complete with a shower. Upstairs is the bedroom which contains a king size bed, queen size bed and a set of trundle beds, all in one room. Upstairs is also another bath complete with a big deep tub. While the cabin isn't on the lake front, you do have access to the lake by simply walking a few hundred feet down the driveway and there you are at Lake Independence. The lake is great for swimming and fishing. There is even a small dock to put your boat at during your stay. For more information please see our Web site. Mapquest shows incorrect cabin location
