This well-marked pathway winds through the tall pines of Mackinaw State Forest. Visitors will pass by marshy ponds that provide home to a large variety of wildlife. The pathway begins and ends within Big Bear Lake State Forest Campground. It is 2.5 miles long and consists of two interconnected loops, with most of the trail winding north of Bear Lake Road.
