Body
A popular day-use park, Duck Lake State Park is home to Duck Lake and half a mile of Lake Michigan shoreline featuring a towering sand dune. The terrain is a mixture of open brush and mature hardwood forest with pockets of open meadows.
The entrance to the park includes one parking area that is closer to Lake Michigan (visitors will need to walk across Scenic Drive) and another parking lot closer to the picnic area and shelter.
Great Lakes beach safety.
Take US-31, exit Whitelake Drive and follow signs to entrance.
Before visiting a state park, boating site or trail, it’s always a good idea to check the latest closures due to weather-related events, planned improvement projects and repairs. Visit Michigan.gov/DNRClosures.
