Hawk Island Park features a beach and swimming area, splash pad, community built playground, a 1 1/2 mile paved pathway, fishing, boat rental, and a beach house/snack bar. The park also features picnic grounds and shelters, spray park, boardwalks, fishing docks, sand volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. In the winter Hawk Island offers a snow tubing hill, a warming building and snack bar. Snow making machines ensure fun all winter long. In addition, the 1.5 mile paved path around the lake and the River Trail South between Hawk Island Park and Potter Park is cleared of snow and is available for walking or jogging.

The snow tubing setup is really great. Nice professional people. Had a long wait time though. Snacks and hot coffee available.
