This 1,500 square foot home is located on 150 feet of Lake Superior pebble beach on Great Sand Bay between Eagle River and Eagle Harbor. Walk on the beach looking for agates, listen to the waves, watch the eagles fly along the shoreline or enjoy a bonfire on the beach at night!
The home sleeps 6 and has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed the other with twin beds and bunk beds. There is a full bath on the first floor and a half bath on the second floor. There is a full kitchen and laundry facilities including an electric stove/oven, a microwave, full-size fridge, washer and dryer, charcoal grill, decks and 150 feet of lake frontage. WiFi is provided (2 - 3 mbps) and a FireStick/Chromecast/Roku type device is recommended as there is no TV reception in the area. Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals only, open mid-May through mid-October.
Only 18 miles from Copper Harbor which has become a world-renowned mountain biking destination and the place to catch the boat to Isle Royale or spend the day kayaking along the shores of "The Big Lake". Enjoy golf nearby, hike the trails, explore the shops, visit Fort Wilkins, take copper mine tours or just enjoy the scenery. The Fall colors rival New England and the Keweenaw Peninsula is a popular spot especially in late September and early October.
The main reason people visit is for the beauty, the peaceful environment and a reminder of how things used to be. Enjoy your stay!
