Little Tree

Little Tree offers affordable backwoods housing and hospitality. Located two miles south of Big Bay, on the southwest shore of Lake Independence, "the quiet end" of the Lake, you can find geese, loons, cranes, eagles, and other resident wildlife. There is a trout stream nearby. There are good hiking, biking, and kayaking opportunities, many waterfalls and diverse Lake Superior beaches. Seasonal activities include hunting, fall color tours, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and snowmobiling. The ATV/snowmobile trail is directly across the street.
