Mackinac State Historic Parks is a family of living history museums and nature parks in northern Michigan’s Straits of Mackinac and is an agency within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Its sites – which are accredited by the American Association of Museums – include Fort Mackinac, the Biddle House, featuring the Mackinac Island Native American Museum, Benjamin Blacksmith Shop, The Richard & Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum, American Fur Co. Store & Dr. Beaumont Museum, McGulpin House, and Mackinac Island State Park on Mackinac Island, and Colonial Michilimackinac, Historic Mill Creek, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, and Michilimackinac State Park in Mackinaw City.

Lunch with a view.
We got off at the Fort at the horse buggy tour. Had lunch on the terrace cafe. So fun and good. I highly recommend. Lunch with a view was one of my favorite things of the trip. I also love history...

A trip to the Fort is a MUST, at least once, on trip to the Island.
Visitors from UK were wanting to vist Mackinac Island, which MUST include a trip to the fort to appreciate the history of the area. I have been countless times. Purchase tickets on line to save 50...

Beautiful view!
We enjoyed the fort. The "soldiers" were very informative and fun. We watch the cannon firing. The views from up that high are magnificent.
