Republic Island Cottage

The Republic Island Cottage is nestled in the woods on a secluded two acre island in the Michigamme River in a quiet and serene atmosphere of the north woods. Charming cedar log cabin features rustic furnishings and a wood burning cobble stone fireplace in the living room. There is a TV with an antenna for picking up the local station, radio with CD player, and a VCR & DVD, and three bedrooms with a double bed in each room and a sofa bed in the living area for extra guests. One bedroom has an electric fireplace. Bathroom with shower, linens and towels provided. The kitchen is complete with a full sized stove, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishes, cooking utensils, and some staples. The snack bar will seat eight or there is table seating at the picnic table connected to the deck. You will find both a charcoal and a gas grill outside for cooking a tasty barbecue. The fire pit in the yard is a great place for cooking hot dogs or burgers, cooking utensils provided. Wood and kindling are provided. There are lawn chairs in the yard or down by the shoreline. Transportation to the island is by boat. Park your car at the off-street parking area. Pets welcome with prior approval.
