The Robert T. Brown Michigan Nature Association Sanctuary is an 18 acre northern fen surrounded by a small pond and bordered by a black spruce, tamarack and white cedar swamp. The fen is comprised of sphagnum moss that supports a variety of shrubs and herbaceous plants. Sedges are common and several species of orchids and carnivorous plants are also found. There is a boardwalk and observation platform to the fen.
