Like a natural utopia, Ludington and Mason County offer an abundance of parks, beaches, inland lakes, and rivers. Our signature feature is our most graceful and bountiful element, the water in and around the Ludington Area. Situated on beautiful Lake Michigan, there are miles of sandy coastline to catch some sun, take a stroll, play where the waves meet the land or enjoy a sunset bonfire.
Ludington State Park
One of Michigan's most popular state parks is comprised of nearly 5,300 acres of scenic sand dunes, ponds, marshlands and forests.
S.S. Badger
Each season, the S.S. Badger makes almost 500 crossings at 60 miles between Ludington and Manitowoc, WI across Lake Michigan.
Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the waters between Big Sable Point, to the north, and Little Sable Point, to the south, offer the "big-lake" fisherman the best fishing to be found on Lake Michigan.
Ludington Relaxation
What a way to spend the day at the beach on Lake Michigan.
The Perfect Sunset
From sunrise to sunset and beyond, the Ludington area provides the perfect place to explore!
Big Sable Point Lighthouse
Nestled among jack pines, just a quick two mile walk along a breathtaking trail, stands Big Sable's noble black and white tower.
